Milan - Hong Kong design, new forms and functions in parallel with Italian iconic works

From 2021-03-26 to 2021-04-04

"Milan - Hong Kong design, new forms and functions in parallel with Italian iconic works "

is the first step of "Design Made in Hong Kong 2020-2021" ,the second will be taken during Milan Design Week in September 2021.

The project, as well as the exhibition, involves two realities: three Hong Kong designschools in dialogue with three contemporary Italian designers, both dealing with themes and characteristics of the masters of Italian design. The exhibition displays this dialogue and confrontation in a path divided into 3 sections: Masters, with historical design pieces from 1970 to 1990 (with pieces signed by Ettore Sottsass, Gaetano Pesce, Michele De Lucchi and Alessandro Mendini, among others), three Italian designers (Federico Peri, Federica Biasi and Sara Ricciardi) and the work created by the three designschools (AVA Baptist University, Hong Kong Design Institute, Poly U Design).
